What are Implant-Supported Bridges?

When one or more teeth are missing in a row, your dentist might suggest a bridge. The bridge can be supported by dental implants inserted into the jaw.

Main points:

– Implants feel more comfortable than dentures.

– An implant-supported bridge is often more cost-effective over time.

– Dental implants are permanent and look natural.

You dentist can explain the options for replacing your missing teeth and discuss the advantages of dental implants and implant-supported bridges.

“An implant-supported bridge offers benefits over having other, less secure restorative work such as a partial denture.”

Dr. John campaigne BDS

Born and bred in Stockport, went to Birmingham university and got BDS 1983. Been practicing in and around Stockport/ Manchester all my career so far! Done lots of courses on Implants and cosmetic dentistry particularly and like to keep up with current technology in dentistry, Lasers, Cerec etc. We like to run a small caring practice and cover most items of dentistry ourselves to give a very personal treatment experience. I have been in this current practice for 24yrs and most of my staff have been with me 16 plus years.

Personally i am married to Jane for 30yrs, we have 3 children Hannah 29works in London for a Law firm, Chloe 28 who lives in Macclesfield works in a shop and Henry 24 who like hole has FragileX syndrome but affects boys more than girls so he is at home with us, although he 'owns' a cafe in Prestbury called Henry's which keeps us very busy and have been known to spend the weekend washing up! I go to the gym 4 times a week at 6am, much to my wife's disgust because I great up at 5.30am. I plays golf as much as i can, not enough. Snowboarding in the winter. I enjoy dentistry for the interaction with people, and the best feeling when you take a dental phobic to Smiling confident person is great.
